Liang Dafang, courtesy name Yiyuan, also known as the Master of Chengming Hall, is originally from Shanxi. He graduated from the China People's Liberation Army Automotive Management Academy. He is currently a member of the China Calligraphers Association, the China Hard Pen Calligraphy Association, the China Calligraphy and Painting Artists Association, and the China Contemporary Artists Association. He's also an academician at the Beijing Huaxia Lanting Calligraphy and Painting Academy and the Beijing Huaxia Bangjiao National Gift Calligraphy and Painting Academy. Liang is listed in the Chinese Cultural and Art Talent Database as a calligrapher, is a national first-class calligrapher, and is a contracted calligrapher for the Hebei Province Calligraphy and Painting Community Program.
The Chinese Calligraphy and Painting Professional Title Appraisal Center evaluated the pricing of their works: 5,000 to 8,000 RMB per square foot in the domestic market, and 1,500 to 2,000 USD per square foot in the international market.
Art achievements:
I've loved calligraphy since I was a child and have always kept practicing diligently. I focus on learning from ancient inscriptions and calligraphy, and over decades, I've carefully studied the regular scripts of Yan, Liu, and Zhao, the running script of the Two Wangs, Han clerical script, and other famous works from different periods in Chinese history. I take the strengths from various masters to refine my skills, staying true to traditional methods without being rigid, and gradually developed a style that's structurally precise, vigorous, smooth, and uniquely advanced. I'm good at clerical and running script, and I also work with seal script, regular script, and cursive script. My works are solid and powerful, yet fresh and upright, simple but lively, elegant and spirited, combining traditional skill with a modern touch. I've won multiple awards in national calligraphy and painting competitions and have had my art widely collected by enthusiasts and professionals from all walks of life.
Won first prizes in the 9th, 10th, and 11th “Xizhi Cup” National Poetry, Calligraphy, and Painting Invitational Competition; the Gold Award in the nationwide “First Shufayuan Cup”; Gold Awards in the 17th and 18th “Lushan Cup” Poetry, Calligraphy, and Painting Competitions; Gold Award in the 6th China Dream Cup Calligraphy and Painting Competition; Gold Award in the first “Tea Palace Cup” National Fine Calligraphy and Painting Competition; first prize in the 3rd “Ode to Peace - Chinese Sentiments” National Exhibition of Famous Artists in Painting and Calligraphy; first prize in the “Ode to Rivers and Mountains” National Poetry, Calligraphy, and Seal Carving Competition; Gold Award in the “Brush and Ink through the Ages - Annual Chinese Painting and Calligraphy Summit”; Gold Award in the “Celebrating the 19th National Congress with Calligraphy and Poetry to Praise China” National Calligraphy, Painting, and Poetry Competition; as well as silver awards in the nationwide 5th China Dream Cup Calligraphy and Painting Competition and the first “Ode to Great Figures – Eternal Remembrance” Calligraphy and Painting Competition. His works have been included in China Post’s commemorative stamp albums for “Harmonious China - Celebrating the 20th Anniversary of Hong Kong’s Return” and “Celebrating the 70th Anniversary of the Founding of the People’s Republic of China,” and have been published in stamps and albums praised as “national business cards.” In 2017, he was named one of the “Most Influential Calligraphy Artists of the Year” and the “Most Collectible Artists of the Year” in Chinese Painting and Calligraphy.

In 2017, I was invited to participate in the 'Harmonious China · Celebrating the 20th Anniversary of Hong Kong's Return' large-scale calligraphy and painting exhibition and the first release of Chinese calligraphy and painting masters' stamps, held at the CCTV Calligraphy and Painting Channel Art Museum.
In 2017, I attended the opening ceremony of the '4th Chinese Integrity Culture Calligraphy and Painting Exhibition – Xi Jinping's Quotes and References Theme Exhibition' held at the Yuanmingyuan in Beijing;
In 2019, I was invited to participate in the 'Glorious Journey · Great Achievements - Celebrating the 70th Anniversary of the Founding of the People's Republic of China' national exhibition of famous calligraphy and painting artists, held at the Li Keran Art Academy in Beijing.
In 2019, I was invited to create calligraphy works for Tingyu (Beijing) International Cultural Media Co., Ltd. and China Jingdezhen Qingyun Porcelain Industry, and produced a themed piece called [Tranquility Leads to Far-Reaching - Dragon], the 'Jingdezhen Side-Handle Teapot Series Tea Set · Calligraphy Art Collector's Tea Ware'.
In 2024, I was invited to attend the opening of the 'First Dragon Culture Art Fair' at the China Dragon Culture Museum in the ancient city of Zhengding, Shijiazhuang, Hebei, where a thousand calligraphers wrote about China's 'dragon' together;
In 2025, I was invited to create calligraphy works for the "Art Collection" program of Beijing Visual Gravity Cultural Media Company, and to release the "Prosperous China • Art Moutai" series of products.
In 2025, I was invited to attend the opening ceremony of the '2026 Shimen Plan · Chinese Red Painting and Calligraphy Academy New Year Painting and Calligraphy Exhibition'.
