赵永光,字老憨,号天水主人,1958年出生于安徽省淮北市,师承大写意名家薛志耘, 江淮大写意的传承者,开拓者,传播者。现任安徽省美术家协会会员,淮北天水画院院长。出版有《赵永光画集》、《赵永光中国画作品集》,个人艺术成就及传略编入《中国花鸟画家大词典》、《中国艺术界名人录》等书籍。

赵永光是一位大写意花鸟画家。自幼受”画乡”艺术氛围的薰陶,与画结缘,乐此不疲。因性情所致,大胆挥洒,不拘细微,是真写意也。他虽大笔运筹,随意点染,却能三五笔墨,一派气象,格调不凡。赏之,有如老道出山,风骨显见,令世人瞩目。

一日,他拿许多画照与我交流,我为之惊讶。他名不出乡里,画风却清劲简远,有古人笔意,非一般人所能到。他以八大,徐谓,李苦禅等大家为师,又倾服蒲华,龙士等名家,”取法乎上”,提高了眼力,开阔了胸怀,便能出手不逊。

书画艺术,不单只是技术上的冲刺,修养和积累自能增加作品的内涵,提高艺术格调。眼高自能手高,眼高也自能格高,格高便脱俗去媚。媚俗是中国画的致命伤,无俗无媚,虽粗服乱头,也成格局,也出境界。
