From a young age, he has had a deep fondness for calligraphy and painting, widely exploring art forms such as collecting, paper-cutting, and seal carving. After years of diligent practice and in-depth study, each stroke and character of his calligraphy is imbued with spiritual energy, as if engaging in a dialogue with the soul. His brushwork exhibits a harmonious blend of strength and softness, with flowing lines. His characters, while square, contain personal characteristics, and his handwriting conveys a beauty of resilience. Particularly in his clerical script (Lishu), the characters are flattened and stable, with a slight slant. Combined with the beauty of squareness, the rise and fall of the lines create a sense of undulating waves, as if the characters bear the marks of a knife, giving a tangible visual impression. He integrates small seal script (Xiao Zhuan) into his clerical script, with unique brushwork that displays the majestic power of stone inscriptions. The clear outlines of the lines make the characters instantly recognizable, rich in internal meaning and clear in their outward expression, demonstrating his profound understanding of the sources of clerical script, and also enriching the linear expression of clerical script. When many artists evaluate his work, they praise his extensive learning and bold innovation in both creative practice and art theory. His artistic practice not only enriches traditional art but also makes outstanding contributions to the inheritance of national culture.
